Events and Activities
The Agua Fria Chapter, NSDAR, participates in community events and activities throughout the year. Special events include the Military Order of World Wars Massing of the Colors and Service of Remembrance, Constitution Day, Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) awards ceremonies, and Sun City Library workshops.

Members of the Agua Fria Chapter, NSDAR, attended the Sun City Independence Day Celebration at the Bell Recreation Center. DAR members are direct descendants of proven American Revolutionary War Patriots, including some of America’s first Veterans. American Revolutionary War Patriots and all veterans following the American Revolutionary War have made it possible for all Americans to celebrate Independence Day each year. Our chapter members passed out U.S. Flags and flag pins to Bell Center attendees. Vietnam War era veterans attending the event were also given 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War Commemoration lapel pins and pin packets. Surviving spouses of veterans were given special lapel pins and pin packets.
On September 16, 2023, Agua Fria Chapter, NSDAR, hosted a Constitution Day Luncheon in Sun City, Arizona.

JROTC Awards Are Presented to High School Cadets
The Agua Fria Chapter, NSDAR, presents JROTC certificates and medals to three high school cadets every year at the high schools’ annual ROTC awards ceremonies. Chapter members volunteer to present the award to each of the cadets.
Our chapter joined the White Tank Mountains Chapter, NSDAR, to co-host the Arizona State Society DAR (ASDAR) 2023 State Conference.
